This is the third week of Advent where we celebrate the Arrival of Jesus into this broken world to restore the Peace of God.

Here is the reading for this week:

Isaiah 40:9

You who bring good news to Zion,

   go up on a high mountain.

You who bring good news to Jerusalem,

   lift up your voice with a shout,

lift it up, do not be afraid;

   say to the towns of Judah,

   “Here is your God!”

 

Jesus came into a broken world not that different from our own.

We still need Jesus as much today as the world did then.

We join with the ages on Christmas saying ‘Here is your God!’ His name is Jesus!
